Hi guys! I haven't blogged for more than one month now and I'm missing it a lot! But all the changes in my life right now are not that blog-able as they have nothing to do with fashion and stuff.. And I don't want to turn this blog into an marriage and interior blog.

But I thought it was time for an quick update: I found my dream wedding dress three weeks ago, I really had that WOW feeling when I tried it on.. I also have a new job since one week, I miss my previous work and colleagues a lot but I think this new job can be my dream job! And last but not least: I'm making a wish-list for NYC for next year and it is getting longer and longer haha! In May 2012 it will be exactly one year without shopping (my last shopping spree was in Milan last April) so you can imagine how excited I allready am! I will show you guys my wish-list for so far in the next post.

But until then we are spending our money on other things, like this lamp 'Josephine' from designer Sander Mulder we are very proud of! Josephine will get her own corner in the living room and will match perfectly with the La Marie chairs.

ROCK-BOHEMIAN CHIQ OR INTERIOR?

In one of my favorite magazines they sometimes have a 'this or that' page. Most of the time it's about a gorgeous designer bag vs. an whole outfit for the same price. That's my inspiration for this post, a rock-bohemian outfit with great items vs. the Kartell La Marie chairs by Phillipe Starck.

WE GOT IT! A GUIDE TROUGH OUR NEW HOUSE!

The last two weeks we had a lot of stress, but there is no need for that anymore, because we bought the house!!! My fiancé made these images of our house, as it is his daily job to design and make houses and buildings.

Let me guide you guys trough the house:

First floor 1: a long corridor with toilet, livingroom with kitchen and built-in pantry.

First floor 2: one of the things I love about this house is that it has a super big sliding to the garden. I always wanted a livingroom with big windows and this easy passage to the garden is a plus!

Second floor 1: a large hall with 2 big bedrooms. The room with the bed will be our bedroom, the other room will be our walk-in closet. The little space next to our bedroom is for our washer and dryer. The bathroom is in the middle of these two rooms and next to the bathroom we have a closed closet, perfect for our towels and other supplies, so the bathroom can stay as empty as possible.

Second floor 2: view from the garden side. I'm thinking about putting my make-up table in that corner of our bedroom, but I'm not sure yet.

Third floor: a large floor with lots of space, we will divide it into an office for my soon to be hubbie and a laundry and sport room for me.

Front and rear: with front yard and backyard, had to cut off a big part of the backyard so it would fit in the image. It's our first house together and it's big for just the two of us, but it gives us the proof that we can make our dreams come true!

Yesterday we had our second appointment at the house we're eying, if everything goes well it might become our future home! I've allready decorated it in my mind and one room will be my walk-in-closet for sure!

Everything goes so fast, it's work work work, future house house house, sleep sleep sleep right now.. Forgive me for not posting guys!

I really tried.. to find make-up I like for less euro's to save money for the big day, but after spending almost as much on things that didn't work for me I returned to my all time favorites! The only thing I did change is my moisturizer, I used to have Chanel's 'Hydramax active +' but after testing Biotherm's 'Aquasource non-stop' for a couple days I saw that this one worked very well on my skin too.

I also bought Eyeko's tinted cream and a liquid shimmer luminizer by Stila, especially that last one is highly recommended!

Ps 1: I think my camera is dying, I get more non clear pictures that clear pictures everytime I use it, hmm..
Ps 2: I think we've found our dream house! I keep you posted!

WHAT I'M DOING LATELY, INSTEAD OF BLOGGING!

It's all about work, wedding and having fun in between, so blogging about fashion and related stuff is a bit difficult lately! Please forgive me! But the good news is that I've found a fabulous location for my wedding!

I will get married in Bellevue, a gorgeous, historical hotel in our hometown where the dinner and party will be! I made the first 4 pictures to give you guys an idea of how it looks like: the facade at the rear, the superbig chandelier in the entrance, a glimpse of our suite 101 présidentielle for the night and the VIP area with a stunning river view!

To relax a bit I went to Resort bad hotel Boekelo for a weekend, where my friend and I enjoyed the peace and doing nothing, so we could enjoy our evening with the nicest cocktails for the fullest! The last 4 pictures will give you a nice impression.

I haven't bought a thing the last two months. As you might have read here I allowed myself to buy tan shoes only and after seeing these three pairs on the Zara sale I decided to place an order. I can only keep max 2 pair so one of them is going back! After adding the shoes to my shopping basket I saw this tan blouse and this leopard scarf and added them to my basket too. When I was little my mom lost me several times because I ran after each animal that I saw. In my youth I had rabbits and lots of birds (we still have a parrot) but I really wanted a dog.. I got one, the sweetest one ever! A couple years ago my laptop crashed and I lost all pictures from her when she was little, but yesterday my dad surprised me (after I surprised him for Fathers day of course) with these pictures! Thanks to Le Ballon I'm still surviving this year without shopping.. I realized that I needed a navy blazer in my closet and Le Ballon was so kind to send me one! This blazer is available in 12 other colors and I guess you can never have enough blazers. This one goes very well with all the classy outfits I'm wearing lately because of the detailed sleeves and the tailored, short fit!

Made these detail shots on my way to the restaurant in the car with my iPhone as I forgot to bring my camera with me! I wore my new suede jacket from Topshop and the braids on the shoulders inspired me for this look: feathers, silk, orange and a messy braid in my hair.

I just received these outfit pics, thanks to Sam for taking them! I wore my new 'hairy' leopard sandals for the first time that day and loved them with this black & white outfit. Allthough I like the blouse and the jacket I don't think I would wear this combi again as they both have an unusual fit and don't suit eachother..

Next time it will be the same idea, but I will grab my new white Kris van Assche blouse I guess!

my very sweet fellow blogger LAfromLA'sblog as she wanted to see an outfit with these new orange babies as soon as possible, so here they are! By the way, I haven't received the pictures from the UPR event yet, so you have to wait a little longer for clear pictures of my previous outfit..

I spend the day with my mom, after having lunch together we bought some new plants for in and around the house. In the evening my boyfriend and I went to the birthday party of my best friends hubby; they had placed a supernice, big firepit in the garden and some very good killer wine.. haha! The evening ended with playing card games with a small group while each of us was tipsy, recommended ;) Oh and thank god for concealer and ibuprofen, otherwise I couldn't survive a day like this right now.

I wore a simple black dress/outfit as my new shoes and bag where super outstanding!

I think I'm getting ill, I have a headache since I'm home, I can't breathe trough my nose anymore and I'm sneezing my head off, grrr! But despite that I had a great day yesterday! I went to an exclusive blogger event organized by Unlimited PR and they really know how to organize an event for us bloggers!

We did so much fun stuff, we made our own cocktails, we customized bags, we did a photoshoot, we have adopted a tree and so on. Will tell (and show) you guys more about it later! For now I'm leaving you with a quite crappy preview pic from my iPhone of today's outfit before I grap my blanket to spend the day on the couch!

Oona pr gave me a gift card - big thanks again! - to spend at River Island when I came to Amsterdam to check out the S/S '11 collection, which you can see here. I saved it until last week and these are my picks, now I'm ready for some sun!

NEW SHOES: ORANGE & CLEAR THIS TIME

When I saw these orange babies I had to order them as I fell in love with them in the first three seconds! I also ordered the clear, plastic heels and I can't wait to wear them with a simple black and white outfit for example! By the way, I think I need to get used to the plastic around my feet as it feels like an feet corset or something. Luckily the orange ones fit like a glove!

My new sandals are very wearable with black and white outfits too and I got myself a new bag + sunnies, but you have to wait for them as I wanted to show you guys these first.

So it's all about orange and clear plastic now, what will it be next time?

EVENT: OPENING OF THE UNRAVEL EXHIBITION @ MOMU ANTWERP!

I got an invite from the Mode Museum Antwerp for the opening of the Unravel exhibition last night. We're knitting for so many years now and this exhibition captured the meaning of it very well. I loved all the designer pieces they showed us! The exhibition is open for visitors since today.

I saw some gorgeous pieces and made a lot of pictures, too much to show you in one blogpost, so if you're interested in seeing more just leave a comment!

As promised, an outfitpost! Thanks to my mum who made these pictures! I got inspired by the color of my nailpolish and in fact this whole outfit, from earrings till lacey socks, is created around it. Funny how these little things can inspire us that much!

MONKI'S JUDY AND RILEY FROM AMSTERDAM

I was in Amsterdam last night for the Monki S/S party. I met up with Roos from Moderosa for a quick dinner before. At the door one of the Monki girls recognized me, so luckily I could get in without the whole I-have-to-find-your-name-on-the-list thing (thanks again dear!)

After a glass of rosé I spotted Judy (in black though, not beige) and Riley and took them both home with me. I haven't tried them so I'm doubting a little about Riley, but Judy is a keeper for sure! Shall I keep Riley too?

We met up with the other bloggers and went to have a couple of drinks together! It's so strange to realize afterwards that we had a great night even though we have seen eachother for only three of four times! I forgot my camera, but I hope that I can show you guys some snapshots soon!

NEW FINDS - ORANGE TOP AND A LOT OF MAKE-UP

This is what I've bought last week while shopping, except for the Zoeva make-up, which I've ordered online. I read a lot of reviews about Zoeva products and decided to try them myself. I'm glad I did, I especially like the palletes, the navy eye pencil and the brushes.

Besides that I also bought a lot in stores, as you might know I'm a huge fan of O.P.I. but when I saw these colors from Collistar I had to buy them!

Oh and the make-up advisor gave me good tip that I have to share with you guys: I always use Diorshow Iconic mascara from Dior. The only disadvantage is that it's gets empty so soon and that's exaclty what she told me when I asked her the difference between Helena Rubenstein and Dior. She told me that the big brush pumps so much air in it every time you use it, that it dries out super quick. I have used Helena Rubenstein before and I liked it, so let's hope that this one will last longer!

It's been a long time that I had some time for myself, so how could I spend a free day better than shopping with my bestie? We walked and talked all day, had a delicious lunch and bought some nice things. I bought most of my latest finds online, so it was a little bit strange to avoid all those people in the stores, ignore all those crying kids and spend my time waiting until I could pay my stuff.. I ended up getting a lot of new make-up, including Chanel's new black pearl nailpolish. Be prepared for a beauty / make-up post soon!

I woke up way too late and on those moments I thank god the most for simple, plain black dresses! Leather jacket - check! Huge scarf - check! Comfi boots - check! So simple, but luckily my bright orange nailpolish made me feel a little more special haha!

I'm thinking about getting a new tat for a couple of months now, I still like the idea so maybe I should do it.. I also have two other ideas in my head for a while, one of them is about covering my first tat in my neck. Not because I don't like it anymore, but because I think that my neck is a better place for one of my ideas. I still love my first tat though, so I would get it again, but on another place. Pfff dilemma's dilemma's dilemma's!

As this is an 'personal' post I would like to give you guys an update.. You may have noticed that I haven't done an outfitpost in a while now.. It's one of the things I like to do the most, but due to various reasons I have to work way more than I normally did, which means that I'm making 70+ hour weeks for example. Therefor I can't make as much time as I want for blogging, taking pictures etc.

Luckily this will change in a couple of weeks and then I will be updating way more outfits and stuff like that! Hope you understand :)

I partied all night long with my fellow bloggers, in this video you've seen Cindy, Ilanka and Roos. Roos, Ilanka and I had booked a hotel in Amsterdam (like 5 min. away from the AIFW area) which was very practical and mostly FUN!

A GIRLS WEEKEND IN ANTWERP!

I was in Antwerp last weekend with my two besties, we had booked a gorgeous apartement suite and enjoyed our time together!

We spend our first day with shopping, eating delicious things, drinks, exploring the city at night and dancing the night away in a nightclub. The second day was to recover from the night before (we - and I know they will say that especially I - really needed that haha) so we had a very late lunch and sat down at Starbucks. We cooked dinner together and enjoyed the night with chatting and drinks, which led to a lot of drunk talk again haha!

I made some pictures this weekend, before and after we have setteld down as you can see haha, and I think this is a great way to meet my two besties, two amazing girls who are in my life for almost ten years!

EDIT: some of you guys asked me where we stayed, we went to the Radisson Blu Astrid hotel, an hotel designed by Michael Graves in the heart of Antwerp. I went to Antwerp several times before and we always booked this hotel because I really love it!

I received these beauties yesterday, but I was at work and came home late in the evening, so I couldn't take good pictures. I really wanted to rip off the packages and try them, but I was so tired that I fell asleep without doing that haha!

What can I say? They're gorgeous! But I'll only keep the black ones, the grey ones are very purple-ish to me and that's something I can't work with in my closet.. Luckily they fit like a glove and I made tons of outfits in my head with the black pair!

With new year's eve my boyfriend and I went to Rotterdam to see the big firework at the Erasmus bridge. Unfortunately it wasn't as much as last year but I love kissing and wishing eachother an fab year from that spot, with such an amazing view! Before and after the firework we went to family and friends the whole night!

I heard the birds sing when I closed my eyes to get some sleep, so I need another day to recover I guess haha!

Last weekend I had silver Christmas nails and yesterday I thought about how to make them a little different and perfect for New Year's Eve.. I decided to just add a small gold accent and now they're glam enough, don't you think?
